Lesson 10: TONE, SHADE & SHADOW - One of the hardest things to draw is a sphere. You'll learn easy techniques to do just that with your pencil. You'll make a circle appear 3D using tone, shade and shadow. Supplies needed: #2 Pencil, White Eraser or Gray Kneaded Eraser, 2 Sheets of White Paper - 8 1/2 by 11, Softer Drawing Pencil - 4B, Round Thing to Trace, like a plastic lid to a margarine tub or the bottom of a can.
Lesson 11: COLOR, COLOR, COLOR - There's more to color than a rainbow! Make your own color wheel! Learn about primary, secondary, warm and cool colors as you jump into the world of drawing with color. Supplies needed: #2 Pencil, White Eraser or Gray Kneaded Eraser, 2 Sheets of White Paper - 8 1/2 by 11, Set of Colored Pencils, Round Thing to Trace, like a plastic lid to a margerine tub or the bottom of a can, Large Coin or other smaller circle to trace.
Lesson 12: COMPLEMENTS & INTERMEDIATES - Focus on color complements (opposites) and intermediate colors. They are so important for achieving accurate shadows and realism in your drawings! Supplies needed: #2 Pencil, White Eraser or Gray Kneaded Eraser, 1 Sheet of White Paper - 8 1/2 by 11, 1 Sheet Black Paper, Set of Colored Pencils, Your Color Wheel from last lesson, Basic Set of Crayons.
