First our family saw the story, loved the unique and beautiful artistic presentation. Then we tried Heidi Shorts Creative Lettering lesson - REJOICE! Loved it, and my 4 kids - ages 5,7,9,11 did a great job!
Then I check out the downloadable lessons - wow! The 4 lessons include the script of 'Gift of Love' to read as a family, and there are 2 other great scripts, including one of my favorites - 3 trees. Do not miss these FREE downloadables!
Fresh approach to Familiar Story

Review by Particular Parent (Posted on 11/25/12)

Presenting the Christmas story to multiple ages of children each year in a way that captures the Biblical essence is not easy. Some presentations are not Scriptural. Others are not interesting.
This has both PLUS (and it's a big one) the 3 related step by step art lessons! Each art lesson is taught by a different artist, and each has different media. I was amazed at how well all 5 of my children did. In fact, we're giving Grandma & Grandpa a framed piece of "Gift of Love" art for Christmas . Shhhhh. Don't tell! It's a surprise!
Something different, something special

Review by Child of God (Posted on 11/25/12)

My 5 children know the Christmas story very well. Each year I try to find a way to make the story alive for them. "Gift of Love" does it. Not only is the story part of the DVD Biblical and beautiful as the artist draws, but the step by step art lessons capture the essence of the story, and drive home the Biblical points. Not only that, they're learning to draw beautifully.
But - - - it is best if you have the black light, chalk, and pencils. After viewing the story, I realized how much the 'pop' of black light means to the kids. I had them work to earn the extras :)
