Treasure in homeschool curriculum

Review by 3mom (Posted on 1/22/12)

Love the Bible story DVDs. See the Light is truly a treasure in homeschool curriculum. These are art and Bible lessons at their best.
My kids can't wait for the next one.
Extraordinary

Review by melike (Posted on 11/5/11)

I love art. So do my 2 kids - ages 7 and 9. We go to galleries, art shows, etc.
The art in this DVD is extraordinary. Not only in the story, but in the lessons.
Jim Pence's Joy of Art using mixed media was our favorite. It's simple, fun, effective. You will not want to miss the poem he quotes at the end - powerful, perfect for all ages.
Easter is a problem

Review by abcetc (Posted on 11/5/11)

I think presenting the Easter story is a problem. How do you present the suffering of the Lord to elementary age children in an appropriate manner?
Most Easter type DVDs are Biblically thin or nearly omit the suffering aspect of our Savior.
This one is different. The story is powerful, yet appropriate for children from 5 or 6 and up. I used it with great success in children's church.
