- great addition to Christmas Unit Study Review by mama rhody

I am NOT artsy. At. All. Which is why I LOVE See The Light anyway. Having a master artist doing the teaching is great for the kids...and mommy! And I loved using The Gift of Love as we've been talking about Christmas. My kids were very into the black light projects too. We used the creative lettering techniques Heidi Shorts taught to work on a black light Names of Jesus project with our Sunday School class!

I'm a new mom of twins. A friend gave me this DVD as a present. I thought it was a bit premature, but she told me I might enjoy watching the bonus feature of watching Gloria draw to music while I'm nursing the twins.
And - I do.
In the middle of the night I find it soothing and relaxing. (Posted on 11/6/11) - Loved the music and art commentary Review by artrus

We're a musical family. We sing and play together at home, church, senior centers, etc.
So we were most interested in the music. Breathing Room's music is beautiful. We love the arrangements, and think the theme song is excellent.
One of our favorite parts was in the bonus section where Gloria draws the nativity scene in chalk art while the music is being playing and sung - a special worship time! (Posted on 11/5/11) - Creative Lettering Review by notxmas

My 2 kids - ages 7 and 10 liked the story a lotand wanted to do the drawing. We did 'Rejoice' with Heidi Shorts. We didn't have those special pencils, so we used regular colored pencils. It worked. It's a great lesson.
Now the kids want the special pencils and the black light. That will be a Christmas surprise. (Posted on 11/5/11) - Not just another Christmas story Review by itsmelord

Every year I try to find something different to use at Christmas to drive the meaning home. Some stuff is too secular. Other stuff is boring.
The story is told with beautiful chalk art. But then, the black light manger and angel sky at the end is gorgeous. My kids thought it was a WOW, so I tried it with our homeschool coop - same thing.
They all wanted to 'do' the black light art lessons. It worked.
A very special way to celebrate Christmas. (Posted on 11/5/11)
